The new Dependable Friends service, commencing early in 2020, will link families and their elderly or disabled relative to a dedicated, individually screened visitor, called a Dependable Friend.
A Dependable Friend will enhance companionship, advocacy, support and monitoring – when you cannot be there. They will chat, read, play games, play music, walk with the resident, take them for coffee, write cards, make purchases, assist with nutrition, etc.
Our company will link concerned relatives, who may be time poor, live far from their loved one, be planning a vacation or require some respite; with a selection of Dependable Friends, using either our website or mobile app. There will be a video profile of each Dependable Friend to assist families or others to select a suitable match for their Nursing Home resident.
The Dependable Friend will be compensated for their time using our on-line easy payment and insurance facility. Once an employment contract is agreed, the Dependable Friend will visit and support the resident to provide peace of mind for the family.
